Founded by researcher and educator Elizabeth Lang, Diversity Focus was established to support institutions through practical, research-informed approaches that strengthen understanding, build capability and improve practice. We believe that lasting change requires more than awareness. It requires honest reflection, institutional commitment and clear pathways for action.

Elizabeth Lang is a researcher, educator and social entrepreneur with expertise in racial equity, inclusive practice and institutional change. Through Diversity Focus, she supports schools and universities to strengthen racial literacy, improve culturally responsive practice and respond more effectively to issues of race, culture and exclusion.
Elizabeth brings together academic depth, practical facilitation skill and strategic insight to help institutions create more inclusive and accountable environments. Her work is grounded in both research and lived realities, with a strong focus on helping educational institutions translate reflection into meaningful action.

Elizabeth Lang is a researcher, educator and social entrepreneur committed to advancing racial equity and inclusive leadership.
She holds a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Human Rights, and is completing a PhD in Social Sciences exploring social and institutional responses to inequality. Her work draws on qualitative research, community engagement and teaching experience to support institutions in developing culturally responsive and equitable practices.
Elizabeth has been recognised internationally for her work, including being named one of the Global 100 Under 40 Most Influential People of African Descent (2021) and a 2024 Telstra Best of Business Award State Finalist for Accelerating Women.
Through her work with Diversity Focus, Elizabeth collaborates with education institutions and communities to strengthen racial literacy and support more equitable systems and outcomes.
